Groundwork Electrical
After a nearly 30-year career as an electrician, Alan Funk decided to launch his own business.
Walla Walla Creative Co. developed a complete brand identity, including logo, business papers, website, vehicle signage, and apparel.
The Groundwork Electrical logo is symmetrical and solid, evoking strength, stability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
Strong, bold typography lends a vintage tradesman feel. Red, black, and white/gray are colors associated with electrical wiring. The logo’s shield badge element, whose shape implies safety and security, is made of three stylized twisting wires, underscoring integrity conceptually and safety literally — with ground separating the hot wires. It also forms the shape of a shovel blade, and we all know there’s bound to be some digging.
Groundwork’s new website includes sections for each service segment, business information, and a contact form.
Alan’s well-outfitted Sprinter is not just his mobile office and workshop but also one of his company’s most visible brand-building assets. WWCCo designed the van to be visible and reinforce the brand while building client confidence in his skill and workmanship.
Of course, with his custom-branded apparel, he’s also a walking, fully outfitted brand ambassador himself.
