Project Overview

Stone Songs Consulting is ready to establish a clear and professional online presence. Our goal is to design a website that highlights Kirsten Nicolaysen’s expertise in geology and volcanology while feeling approachable to her first audience: former students who are now professionals in the industry. The site will reflect her deep scientific background, her fieldwork experience, and her ability to communicate with warmth and clarity.

Scope of Work

Walla Walla Creative Co. will provide:

  • Mini-logo development: A simple, versatile mark that reflects the Stone Songs name and theme, designed for use across digital and print applications.

  • Business card design: A professional card consistent with the logo and website styling.

  • Website design & build: A four to five-page site including Home, About, Services, Projects/Experience, and Contact. The site will be mobile-friendly, easy to update, and optimized for search. Stone Songs Consulting agrees to a two-year commitment for hosting and maintenance. After that period, continued service will be at your option — you can either remain on our plan for hassle-free support or assume full management of the site.

Design Approach

  • We will create a visual identity that is inspired by geology and nature. The design will use earthy and volcanic tones, geological textures, and striking photography from fieldwork. Typography will be clean and modern, with a professional but welcoming tone. The result will be a site that feels credible, memorable, and uniquely Kirsten’s.


Project Timeline

Estimated Duration: three to five weeks

  • Logo and business card design: 1–2 weeks

  • Website design and build: 2-3 weeks


Investment

Flat Project Fee: $3,000

Includes the complete package — logo, business card, and website.

Printing is NOT included.

Payment Terms: Half down. Second half net 30 days from first proof.

Ongoing website maintenance, hosting, and annual domain registration are $80 per month.
